Also Ran Racing was formed in 2011 to put into action ideas from many years of bench racing. The goal of the team is to participate in a few key and unique amateur events, and formalize our other ventures into motorsports.
What’s in our name? “Also Ran Racing” is a play on a term long associated with horse racing. Competitors finishing out of the top 3 positions (the Win, Place and Show) were considered to be “Also Rans”. It is with a bit of cynicism that the name was selected. The name (hopefully) isn’t representative of our finishing position in events, but rather a reflection of the scope of our team.
